It’s not what you eat, it’s what you absorb!

If your colon has the holiday meal you ate 6 months ago stuck in its folds, its going to be hard to absorb all the nutrition that $18 organic salad offers you today.

Cleansing is an ongoing 24/7 process.

I’ve spent more than 36 years training with my Tai Chi Gung Master. I’ve worked with the 3 levels of Nutrition taught in the Tai Chi Gung Lamasery in Tibet consciously for more than 3 decades. (Visit Spiritual Nutrition for more information.) Even so, I am compelled to return back to the basics almost daily. These few things listed below are so simple, it’s easy to dismiss their power and impact on your health and your digestion.

We share these core daily routines in our free download. You’ll find an outline of a possible future. As Tai Chi Gung students develop with breathing energy, certain foods from their past naturally drop away. They want higher quality foods more. In the PDF, you’ll also get a beginner’s guide and a Tracking Chart to make getting started easier.

Is the cure worse than the dis-ease?

What most people don’t realize is that their current diet is their best effort to be balanced or return to balance. Even those who eat to suppress emotions, are doing the very best they can to get through life as they face it. While making drastic changes in ones diet is occasionally needed; more often than not, a gradual approach is better for one’s overall health.

What can I do now?

There are several things one can do right away to help your body cleanse day in and day out so you absorb more nutrition from the food you eat.

Make half of all you drink clear water

Drinking clean, clear water throughout the day helps the kidneys wash away toxins. Dark liquids require more effort to assimilate. Their residual ingredients often end up in the cell wall. Consider adding Celtic Sea Salt to that regimen to help hydration. See more on the “What’s Missing” page.

Walk 15-20 minutes a day.

Physical movement has a tremendous positive impact on digestion and overall health. If weather keeps you indoors, walk around the kitchen island or down the hall and back. Take it up a notch with the Standing Tai Chi Gung exercises. They’re as gentle as a walk in the park, and many times more effective as you learn to breathe energy.

What can I add later?

Liquid Aloe

Drinking aloe has a very soothing effect on digestion. It can aid healing in many ways. It helps hydrate the colon. Adding an ounce or two a day can help begin to loosen the deposits on the colon wall and in the folds where it gets stuck. (Please consult your medical professional for guidance first.)

Plenty of Green Vegetables

Sometimes, just a healthy variety of green vegetables adds enough fiber and other nutrients to clear the colon of waste. For those who don’t get enough green foods in their day to day diet, Super Green Foods offer a powerful alternative. They can be added to smoothies, and save time as well.

Other ways to cleanse

Intermittent fasting

There is growing evidence that going without solid food for longer periods during the day can help the body keep up with all the food we eat. The buzz word is autophagy. The natural process of cleaning up inside. To start their intermittent routine, some people go 12 hours or longer without solid food each day. I’ve adopted a simple routine that’s easy to remember. I start eating solid food after 11 a.m. I finish eating by 7 p.m. (Please consult your medical professional for guidance before you begin any dietary routine. Autophagy

One of the core benefits of intermittent fasting is a process in the body called autophagy. This translates into English as “self healing”. It is the body’s version of spring cleaning. Longer periods without food trigger deeper levels of cleaning. One of the best introductions to this wonderful option I’ve ever come across is by Dr. Mindy Pelz. View her short YouTube video here. Universal Cleanse

In ancient India, a combination of lemon, cayenne pepper, clean water and maple syrup was often used to help clean the body while fasting. For short periods of time, it offers many benefits. Please investigate it thoroughly on your own before you begin. Barbara O’Neill speaks quite highly of the benefits of cayenne by itself. I’ve adopted her suggestions with great success.

Cloves

While we don’t diagnose, treat or prescribe for any disease states, eating one or two cloves a day can aid in cleansing the body. I like it because its very simple and very inexpensive. You can investigate the benefits for yourself. At the bare minimum, when you take something that stimulates better breathing, you’re helping to alkaline the system. Be forewarned, the taste is intense. Chewing on a clove is not for the faint at heart.

Olive Oil

Many of the health benefits of Olive Oil have come from research related to the seemingly magical longevity and health among those who eat the Mediterranean diet. There is a tremendous amount of data related to including good quality Olive Oil in your diet. If you are unaware up to now of it’s many benefits, please consider doing your research on it. It’s quite impressive.
