Lao Tzu, the original author of the Taoist Rotation Diet taught 3 levels of nutrition.
Everything you eat and drink is Level 1. This is DNA nutrition. From there, it gets interesting. You’re not just a meat suit and plumbing. You’re a human being. Your mind, emotions and soul influence how healthy you are and how healthy you can be. They have a tremendous impact on how well you absorb nutrition from the food you eat.
Lao Tzu discovered that a human being can get nutrition directly to the elements of Nature: Earth, Water, Fire and Air; as well as from the Sun and the Moon.
Level 2 Nutrition starts working when you can feel the Chi, or Life Force in Nature directly. You learn to draw the life force into the body through conscious breathing. Lao Tzu’s knew this from his yoga training. He was a Pranayama Yoga Master. Conscious breathing is built in to the basic Tai Chi Gung exercises.
Nearly 90% of all Tai Chi Gung students feel the energy directly in their very first class. This is a biological experience of the Divine. Feeling the energy physically changes everything.
While it is very important to eat the best food you can find, and rotate what you eat along the way; optimal health, changing your health trajectory comes when you harness the life energy, or chi. It goes beyond just the nutrition present in food. Not only do you feel better with more chi, absorbing vital nutrition this way speeds up the healing process. Eventually, it can slow the aging process.
The 3rd level of Nutrition goes even a step further beyond that. Very few human beings pursue this, though examples of those who have can be found. Haidakhan Babaji manifested a physical body in a cave in 1970 and immediately went 45 days without eating, drinking or going to the bathroom. The Sanskrit phrase that describes this power is Asawa Di Kanwali. “I partake directly from the Nectar of the Divine”.
Lao Tzu trained in Hatha, Pranayama, Kundalini and Japa Yoga. His teachings come from the Siddha Yoga Master tradition.
You can eat anything you want or nothing at all… when you know what you’re doing!
